David Young
David Young is a founding partner of Alta Point and is responsible for all aspects of the Firm’s activities, including investment sourcing and execution, portfolio management, capital raising, client service and operations. David has spent the past 11 years as a Managing Director of Makena Capital focused on the firm’s private equity and direct co-investment portfolio. In that capacity, David was a voting member of Makena’s investment committee and was involved in every aspect of the private equity portfolio, one of the largest asset classes at the firm. Prior to Makena, David worked for Bregal Investments, a European investment firm, where he helped build a €3.0 billion private equity portfolio. Prior to Makena and Bregal, David worked at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (now Blackrock Private Equity Partners) and General Atlantic Partners and where he focused on fund investments and direct co-investments. David earned a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. He graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science and Spanish from the University of Utah.

Greg Eickbush
Greg Eickbush is a founding partner of Alta Point and is responsible for the operations of the firm as the Chief Operating Officer. He most recently worked as the Head of Operations at Mizuho Securities and prior to that he worked as the Head of Client Services and FCM Operations at Societe Generale. He is an experienced management executive who has had responsibilities as Chief Operating Officer of Fixed Income trading businesses at both Deutsche Bank and Lehman Brothers. Greg has over 10 years of international experience working in Asia. In his various roles, Greg was often responsible for vetting and approving proprietary investments made by his firm. These investments were predominately in the technology and operations space. Greg earned a Masters in Business Administration from Columbia University and a B.A. in Japanese from Brigham Young University.
